Decided to take the monorail over to Mud Island. Very interesting. Lots of information about the Mississippi River from start to finish.

I am not normally a museum person. Just a bunch of old furniture and pictures on the wall. But here, the story of the Civil War comes to life.

This place has so much history and information than I could have imagined. Found out some history that I was totally unaware of - I'm not going to divulge because it would ruin the surprise. Small children probably wouldn't enjoy this.
