Renovation and renewal have come to this historic street known as the "Home of the Blues." Flashy music clubs and restaurants abound.

We had a great night on Beale Street. Felt safe and lively. Lots to look at and great music. Fantastic vibe! But our car was broken into in the Orpheum lot. It was locked, alarm on, and under a light. But still got broken into....More

This was my first time eating at a restaurant on Beale Street. The food was delicious. An extra bonus was the live music played and sung during our lunch!!! There were a number of restaurants to chose from. Lastly, there were a lot of photo...More

The barbecue was underwhelming, and Beale did not have the energy I expected. But in fairness February is probably not its peak time. But it could use an energy injection.

This is a great place to drink and listen to music but that's about all it has to offer. It was a calm, less crowded version of Bourbon Street.

We were here during the day, so no live music. But it was a really fun outing, with lots of history, funky stores to browse, plenty of places to eat and get a cocktail. I imagine this place is a blast at nigt with all...More

Beale Street gets many visitors a day, and it is patrolled frequently by the Memphis Police, so as long as you observe all the normal safety precautions, you’ll do fine. I didn’t observe too much in the way of panhandling going on, I guess the...More

The weather was pretty bad, cool and wet so we didn't get the full flavor of the street. There were so many clubs that we checked out during daytime. I'm sure if I were 20 years younger this street would be the place to go....More

So many bars. So much music. So much fun. But the bars are narrow and small and serve really awful fried food. If you are hungry eat first. The music was great. Wish I had seen the WC Handy Museum!

Had a great night at BB kings, with a great local band playing. Try the fried pickle its great tasting and something we dont have at home! Beale Street itself was pretty quiet, but it was a Tuesday in February.

Did you mean Beale Street ? We rented a room at Hotel Chisca on South Main Street. It is more like an apartment, and we had 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms for the weekend. Only a couple block walk to Beale Street.
