Tours are available and you can watch the craftsman building the semi-hollow guitars (These are the only ones made in this factory). The retail store has a huge selection of solid-body and acoustic guitars. My husband called it a candy store for a musician. The lobby has an amazing display of huge painted guitars that make for a good photo.

The factory offers a 45min tour ($10) but it's suggested that you make reservations. The tour was interesting, taking us inside the factory and showing the many steps of the guitar production. The only thing I thought was missing on the tour was the history of the company and some information on the instruments (characteristics, etc).

You must do this tour on a weekday when the craftsmen are at work! It is amazing to see how their guitars are assembled. I had no idea what to expect, but I learned a lot! These are craftsmen....not just employees! One negative point is that it is VERY hard to hear..... the tour would be greatly enhanced if everyone... More

This tour is fascinating. You actually see how every Gibson hollow body or semi-hollow body guitar is made. No pictures allowed. The amount of hand craftsmanship and attention to tiniest details is incredible. And it takes weeks for each guitar to get through the process. In the lobby you can see examples of all the types of guitars that Gibson... More

The Gibson factory tour really shows you how much work goes into making a guitar. When you've seen that virtually everything is done by hand, you realise why they cost so much! A well worthwhile visit, with a great tour guide.

fascinating tour for anyone who builds instruments, works wood in any way or just plays guitar. please please go during the week - on weekends, there are apparently no craftsmen working. the factory is cool and the tour guide is informative, but it would've ben nice to see the craftsmen craft. ... also, no photos allowed. understandable.

Super cool. Wish we had time for a tour but will next time we come back. They range in price from several hundred to thousands. Look at some of these great photos. I really admire folks who can play.

A wonderful insider view of what it takes to construct some of the worlds preeminent guitars. It's also a venue for parties and that would be awesome.

I think that this tour need to be renewed. So much technical language that couldn´t be understand by everybody. You will see just wood and glue. They don´t let you to touch or see a finished guitar except in the shop. My family did not understand a word of the tour guide. However, if you are a music fan you... More
