Gibson was the big attraction for me in Memphis. I own a couple Gibson knock-offs (Epiphone) and love these hand-made guitars. Do yourself a favor and wait for a more seasoned guide.

My parents live in Memphis and we were looking for something to do that we haven't all done before, wasn't too terribly time consuming, and not too expensive while we were visiting on Thanksgiving break. This perfectly fit the bill! You'll need to book the tour tickets online or call the day before--they are $10/person. We went on a Saturday... More

We went on this tour as a family with our daughters age 12 and 7. They did get bored about half way through, but it was after a full day at Graceland. First, It is important to book the tour online in advance through the website. When I first visited the website, I overlooked the button for ordering tickets, I'm... More

We were encouraged to take an early tour while employees were working (and could be seen actually fabricating guitars). We'd have to rate this as one of the best factory tours that we've been on. If you make it to Beale Street, try to take the Gibson Tour !

The 45-minute tour was awesome, and I am not even an instrument player. The handmade process was fascinating and now I understand why these guitars are so expensive. A must stop in Memphis!

Husband a keen guitarist so this was his thing really. You see all the processes that go into making the finished article. We deliberately went during the week since we read on Trip Advisor that the skilled workers don't work weekends. An informative guide and an enjoyable way to spend 45 minutes, especially if you are a guitar player.

Indifferent staff - not overtly rude, but clearly very interested in getting off early that day. They cancelled the 4 pm tour.

Even if you don't like guitars, this is a great tour to see how guitars are build from the beginning to the end. You actually walk through the factury while the workers are making the guitars. It is just a great experience to see how the guitars are build!

The guide was friendly and helpfull but, as a player, I would have liked more technical information. Would be better if the guides were from the floor or an experienced player. It didn't help that I visited on the weekend when nobody was working. Would definitely recommend visiting during working hours.

This was my final Must See whilst in Memphis and it was an interesting tour. Our guide was from Clarksdale Ms so having been there just a few days before hand that certain;y helped as his delivery was fast and thickly accented. Even if you no or little interest in actual guitars there was a lot to learn and understand... More
