Lovely old cemetery with lots of interesting headstones. It was terribly hot when we went so we did the driving tour using the CD's available from the office. We found it sometimes hard to locate the places mentioned on the CD; they aren't right beside...More

If you're really into cemeteries and don't mind that the sites only date back to the 1800's, you can spend hours here. The grounds are well taken care of. You'll definitely get beautiful photos here.

I think a cemetery can be beautiful and Elmwood definitely is unique and beautiful. It's a bit difficult to get to even though it's in the middle of the city but well worth the visit.

The audio guide is well worth the minimal cost. You get a great deal of history about the south and Memphis during the tour. The Cemetery is also very beautiful and doubles as an arboretum. I would clearly say this is a hidden gem of...More

The cemetery is in South Memphis, just South of downtown in an undesirable area for those who are unsure which way to go. My advice is to contact a tour company or your hotel concierge to recommend local transportation. We... More
