Our visit to The Peanut Shoppe was a pleasantly unique experience! Rida & Nurah were so sweet. They let us sample a variety of their goodies, a majority of which we later purchased...Rida's a smart man 😉 They also recommended several local eateries that were fabulous. If we ever find ourselves in Memphis again, we'll definitely be back!

We stopped in past here on our recent trip to Memphis. It was close to closing time but the owner was happy to chat and when we wanted to take a picture he went above and beyond to allow us to take snaps in the store. He was happy to take the camera and take some pictures for us to... More

We stopped by this shop at the recommendation of our AAA Guide, and were not disappointed. The scent of roasted nuts and popcorn prepared in vintage equipment, filled the air with delicious aroma. The owner is a pleasant fellow with a good sense of humor and a fund of useful advice about the area. the selection was large but, for... More

If you drive, the address will take you to a pedestrian only street, but here is easy parking around the corner from the shop. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. He will let you sample anything he has. The nuts are all very fresh and have good flavor. The freshly made still warm just lightly salted popcorn was excellent!

Autheniic, out of the tourist traps. Nurah was very personable..told us where to go for lunch. Hard to decide what to take home from this wonderful gem. He should be very proud!

This unique store will actually fresh roast your order of nuts if you ask politely...or you can select from numerous other candy specialties and/or varieties of nuts that have been freshly roasted earlier that day. Did I mention the caramel popcorn and chocolate-covered nuts? The store has survived despite the spate of other abandoned storefronts along the pedestrian Main Street.... More

Actually went in to ask for directions and met a very nice knowable man named Rida Abuzaineh. He was very helpful and of course we bought some of his delicious peanuts. We had quite a chat. The shop is old and very small, but go and try his peanuts.

There are many things to see and do in downtown Memphis, but make sure to save a little time to stop at the Peanut Shoppe and pick up the best nuts and chocolate that Memphis has to offer. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to meet Rida, the always gracious, shop owner!!

Great little place that smelled incredible as I walked in (likely because of the peanuts roasting in the old school roaster). Go in if he is open, you won't be disappointed!

I visited this shop many years ago on a business trip and was immediately sold on the size and quality of the fresh cashews. Since then, I have been doing business with the owner through their website and/or by telephone on a regular basis. Their customer service is by far one of the best experiences I have ever had, and... More
