My friend and I wanted to visit a beach which was dog friendly. We chose this beach as it was a reasonable distance from home having never been before. What a worth-while day! The parking is right beside the beach and it was very cheap...More

I visit the beaches both sides of pier regularly and have done for years, recently I have noticed a nasty smell in parts with some very unpleasant debris washed ashore....the Sandy bit where the children play had a lot of litter too. This is odd...More

Great for long walks. Always plenty of parking spaces. A lovely beach. Great views. Always clean. We always seem to visit in the winter and its lovely so I'm sure its fabulous in the summer

Wonderful walk along the prom and beach. Shame dogs are not allowed in certain sections but I understand why. Also shame it’s pay and display further along by the sandy section. I’m so sad the pier has gone.

Best beach for building sandcastles that the grandchildren loved jumping on, the water was cold but we still had a paddle

Sadly the pier is no more but the whole length of beach is looking great. The area is really back to thriving again and I am so pleased to see this.

A lovely beach to take a walk in the sand or along the promenade . Well signposted, with some lovely places to stop for drinks etc.

Colwyn Bay beach is long and varied. There is plenty of nice sand for the kids when the tide is out but there are areas where it is stony as well. Some areas have nothing on the prom but other areas have access to cafes...More

The remnants of the old pier have finally been removed which was previously a big eye sore. Now Colwyn has a lovely beach. The prom is continually being modernised too. Only a short walk from the town centre and great views of Rhos on Sea...More
