Harlech Castle is very impressive and we very much enjoyed our visit. The setting is amazing and the cafe excellent. This afternoon we sat on the cafe balcony in the sunshine having tea and delicious cakes looking at the castle and towards the Snowdonia mountain...More

This is an amazing castle with plenty to explore, towers to climb from which you can see magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. There is also a great deal of information available throughout the castle with signs and posters. A great place to explore.

As the title would suggest, a visit to the castle isn't a bad way to spend 40 mins if you're in the area but don't travel any great distance otherwise. The cafe is terrific though and staff friendly.

This stands out in a beautiful location for prominently visible from the roads. There was parking and a warm place where tickets are issued and a short film about the castle displayed. A restaurant in the ticketing area offers coffee and food. Castle itself is...More

Stopped off on a whim while I was passing through Harlech. What a great find. The entry price was a lot for what is a small castle but it’s certainly one worth preserving. Staff are very friendly but it does need a little more signage...More

Fantastic views from the top and a very interesting history. Don't get fooled and visit the water gate though! It's quite a walk to just a gate

Plenty of parking to find and a nice short walk to the castle itself. It is well looked after and the cafe looks like a nice place to sit and chill, while looking at the bridge across to the castle. There is a small playground...More

My favourite castle, stunning views over the golf course and towards pwllheli. Even when it's raining, a great venue with souvenir shop and indoor film studio showing the history of the castle. And a fabulous cafe, what more could you need..

Having always wanted to visit Harlech castle and see its dungeon , the Open Doors weekend was very much appreciated. When we approached the castle I was impressed by the ease of access provided by the spectacular new bridge, which has been designed to make...More

While officially dogs are welcome, my recollection is that this doesn't apply to all parts (for safety reasons). Your dog needs to be kept on a leash at all times.
