Visited here hoping to have some of their lovely ice cream but was so disappointed. Due to Covid limited opening times I understand. When arriving everything is overpriced and sell by dates had to be addressed- not on understanding ears. Then went to order Ice-cream and just 2 flavours and the assistant was rude !!! Haven't been to Twywn for a long time, visiting the ice cream shop is a must do. Usual honey flavour plus banana as flavour of the day, tried both ( hadn't had lunch !!), delicious. Efficient system of entrance through main door, order & collect ice cream, then pay & exit in the cafe. The cafe area wasn't there on our last visit, would certainly give it a try when normality returns.…

Holgates is one of the best-hidden gems in Wales and it is essential that anyone who is on holiday in the area should go and give this place a visit. The place doesn't boast or brag, but certainly has some of the best soft-serve ice-cream I have ever tasted! I love that flavours change so that you are able to have different experiences each time but I also love the choice of adding toppings! So tasty and perfect for a hot day! Not to mention that the gift shop has some lovely fudge and other sweet treats on offer. Really well priced too. The only downside is location, you do have to plan this journey, but there is a quaint train journey one can take to go and visit.…
