The Welsh coastline has many contrasts and really does offer something for everyone. From cliff top strolls to estuarine wanders, picturesque fishing villages to vibrant cities, industrial heritage to unconquered castles, desolate windswept beaches to bustling seasides. The Wales Coast Path not only takes you through the Welsh landscape, it takes you through its heritage and its communities. The Pembrokeshire section is home to the iconic and world-class landscape of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and wildlife rich islands. The Path (which has National Trail status here) passes through some of Britain's most spectacular and breathtaking scenery, including 58 beaches and 14 harbours and the UK's smallest city - St Davids.

We holidayed in Wales recently and on 3 occasions picked up the walkway. The coast path is a long walking route running mainly along the coastline with many contrasting landscapes. We found stunning sheer drop cliffs, tranquil little harbours and golden sandy beaches. We were even lucky enough to spot some seals in the water.

Two of us walked along the coastal path for two consecutive days - about ten miles each day . On the first day of our walk we encountered teams from the nearby signals regiment ( and some of their guests ) who were doing a 40 mile walk carrying 40 lb packs . Most looked very fit and determined and... More

A super location for walking and photography. There is a small car park at the harbour, with access to the coastal, path. The scenery here is stunning. We walked along the path on the western side of the harbour. As this follows the edge of the harbour, there are beautiful views back towards Abercastle and across the the island and the... More

Excellent 4 day break walking and cycling on the Pembrokeshire coast based near Whitesands Bay on the Caravan Club site. The scenery is astounding with cliffs and coves plentiful wild flowers. We spotted seals and swarms of the giant Barrel Jellyfish. Would highly recommend a visit to this area.

We recently visited the coastal path from St Davids to Porthgain. Also in and around St Davids central area. All very accessable and very interesting with awesome views. A must do for walkers and people who like to be in touch with natural surroundings.

There is an abundance of wild flowers along this path and spectacular coastal scenery. We were privileged to see a common lizard. people we spoke to also saw adders (a good reason to wear good shoes and look before sitting down in the grass).

My wife and I recently booked a week long walk of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from Dale to St. David's, with the assistance of Philip Scriver at ExploreBritain. What a fabulous experience. We walked from town to town whilst our luggage was transferred from one B & B to the next. Philip arranged all the details, including the taxi from... More

Craggy outcrops, imposing headlands, beautiful views of the sunshine shimmering off the sea, wildflowers galore, nesting birds, seals and lambs. What is there not to like?

The coastline is still so unspoilt - particularly in north pembrokeshire (north of st davids to Cardigan) . Magnificent views and so much wildlife.
