There was some confusion with where the Dylan Thomas Birthday Walk actually started, as my husband and I ended up following some other tourists and completed the Lauagharne Heritage Walk instead on Day 1. If you want to do more walking as this is a very short walk - continue to walk past the Boat House and follow the trail... More

Muddy in March but lovely views and a great walk for the dog. Bit steep in places but very manageable.

A nice walk from the centre of Laugharne along the estuary and round the headland then back over meadows to Laugharne. About 90 mins, a little steepness on the path but not too bad. In damp weather you'll need wellingtons. Nice views through the trees over the estuary. Worth doing....

A lovely walk with the boards that had the excerpts from the birthday poem and the views were lovely - quite short so we carried on.

Did the birthday walk. Need some level of fitness as there are hills to climb and fields to cross. Apart from that the views are amazing and information boards will tell you all you need to know. Plus there are many benches to sit and rest and admire the scenery and they are marked with one liners from Thomas's poems.

Lovely walk, staggeringly beautiful views. A few good climbs and well punctuated by benches and display boards. Humbling to think of DT doing the same walk. It did get a little bit muddy, but we didn't mind that. Essential if you're on a Dylan Thomas pilgrimage.

you start off from the carpark above you is laugharne castle which is mostly in tact. dylans boathouse can be seen and his work shed . walking around you imagine how the poet must have known these paths likethe back of his hand. a verytranquil place that everyone should visit and capture the magic of it all.

Easy but spectacular walk with great views of the salt marshes and beyond, several options for long or short walks

Randomly stopped off here on our way home. A nice stroll to the boathouse and a slightly longer walk to find his & his wife's final resting place. The views when walking to the boathouse are gorgeous. Very glad we stopped here.

Lovely walk with stunning views. You don't have to be super fit to complete this walk. It's well worth attempting it even if you don't complete it all.
