Was just here today (Nov 22). It’s like a farmer’s market in the United States. They have some pretty nice hand-crafted jewelry, crochet animals/characters, hats, wood plates/serve ware, blankets, beach attire, artwork, and some other goods. Several food choices there, including some local entrees, sausage dishes, etc. Ended up buying some fresh produce and random items like figs, cacao powder, and artisanal bread. The Mercado was relatively small, so not comparable to something like a flea market. The live music is one of the best things there. Not sure if they play there every week, but they were entertaining. For those that want to know, there was a set of bathrooms there, but required a 15 peso charge. If you’re in town for a meal, just use the restroom at those establishments. If the kids get bored, there’s a playground in the Plaza along with a full basketball court. Hope that’s helpful. Feel free to ask any questions!

Very expensive prices, you will have to bargain HARD to pay anything close to reasonable, and you’ll still end up with a price higher than you’d pay in the local shops. Don’t come expecting bargains that’s for sure. There was a good variety of food that we didn’t explore as much, that might be more worthwhile?

The Mercado was fabulous! The jewellery was top-notch, and the prices were reasonable compared to other places that we found during our stay.

Please buy the sourdough from the baker near the southwest corner of the market. I missed it and regret it to this day.

We enjoyed a great afternoon on the beach, having cocktails afterward.

Market has expanded since our last visit. More craft vendors, cooked food, produce, live music. A great way to spend a Tuesday morning. Love sampling the food, buying lunch and something to cook later for dinner. Love music an added touch!!

We've been there many times.
A good mix of food, crafts and live music. A regular Tuesday community event, small but the place to be!!

This market is a nice break if you are in San Pancho on a Tuesday. Some great fruits and locally made food and snacks are there. I was impressed with the organic tobacco even though I did not buy any. There is plenty of jewelry and some quirky 'gringo' sales but you should really go for the local goods.
There is good cover from the sun and possible rain.
Getting to San Pancho on the bus only depends on how much or little you want to spend but the busses only go to the entrance of the town so prepare for a 10 minute walk.

This market takes place on Tuesdays right near the main street of San Pancho. There are many local vendors selling their goods and food with a musician playing regional music. We grabbed many great presents for people at home. Vendors were very friendly.

This is a really sweet location, shaded, in the square by the beach area, with many stalls, you can purchase some great organic produce, local herbs, peyote creams, no refined sugar, homemade foods, breads, granola, snacks (lunches), spices, teas, pizza, sausage, jewelry, juices, flavored waters, as well as the usual tourist blankets etc.

Some stalls have US/Canadian market priced goods and are non-negotiable.

Many are english/bilingual speaking, but the use of calculators makes questions on price very easy anywhere.

Bring a bag to help the constant use of plastic that is present.

Feel free to go hungry and eat there - some fantastic looking sausage, pizza's, quesadilla's, multi colored tortillas. There is lots of options.

Shaded benches along with the covered area makes it a great option for enjoyment of a sun covered space to take a break.

A small weekly outdoor market in San Pancho. It's a great place to grab some local street food, cold fruit drinks, a loaf of yummy olive bread, or a small trinket. Very few fresh market items though. We did grab some great locally grown lettuce. One street over the the center of town and many other shops! The town is pretty quiet and a welcome relief from the more touristy locales.

My wife loved the market here. Only on Tuesdays I believe, but runs most of the day. Has the usual market fare of womens clothing and trinkets and local artisans and bakers. A few fresh food stands set up. Definitely not my thing, but if you want to grab some local baking and an overpriced set of drink coasters this is your place.
