A hidden gem on the Parramatta River
Jul. 2020 • Family
This hidden gem on the Parramatta River is one of those spots that are worth seeking out, for a number of reasons. There is plenty of things to see and do including exploring the old RAN Newington Armaments Depot, the depot loading wharf, the kids play equipment, walk or bike ride the waterfront. If you are feeling peckish there is a cafe and kiosk. There are community BBQs available so a picnic can be one the cards. There is only one negative and that is the park has become a victim of its own success in that parking is limited and on a first come first park basis and no parking outside designated areas. Otherwise it’s a magnificent greenspace and great for the kids.

Blaxland park
Jun. 2019 • Family
This park is great to take your family and kids for a bbq or picnic, you can just go with friends as well.. theres room for everyone heaps of tables and public bathrooms with an amazing water front view.
The park is very clean, theres a cafe and bike hire place too.. the only down fall is on weekends and school holidays it can be extremely hard to find parking as it gets very busy, my suggestion would be to drop off everything youre taking down with you next to the park side and have someone go set up while you look for parking because you might have to walk 5-8minutes if you park on the outskirts.

Great for younger kids
Jun. 2019
This park is great for kids aged 3-8. Could do with some more additions to increase interest for toddlers and older children. Serious lack of parking. The kiosk serves horrible food. Definitely BYO your food and snacks. Park has next to no shade.

Best Park for Kids
Apr. 2019 • Family
This is THE BEST park we have ever been to for play. Huge open spaces and lots of different types of play equipment for kids of all ages. There is also a water play area. Lots of paths so great for bikes and scooters. If attending during peak times (public holidays/long weekends) be mindful to go as early as you can to ensure you can find a carpark or use public transport. The ferry stop is within walking distance. We attended for the second visit on Anzac Day. The car parks were absolute chaos. Thankfully we found a park but it was a good 1/2hr driving around before we found one.

Amazing Playground
Apr. 2019 • Family
This park is absolutely amazing! Great picnic areas, a fab playground, including a wonderful water feature for warm and sunny days and so much equipment to keep the children entertained for hours.

All ages in one
Nov. 2018 • Family
Daddy, Mommy, grandparents, toddlers, kids, teens, all in one.

This is a park where every members of the family can relax, play, interact.

Hugh playground, a river and big parking lot for free😊 and restaurants.

During weekdays, if one wants a quiet place to go, this is the place.

All is well in Blaxland Riverdale.

Must do for young kids when visiting Olympic Park
Jul. 2018 • Family
This is a great playground. Free parking. Innovative set up and heaps of grassed area for parents. Lots of climbing areas and a great water park so bring a towel and swimmers. Sand pit, flying fox, climbing tower were all a hit. There’s a coffee shop and toilets as well. There’s also a cafe 5 min walk down to the river. A great free Sydney activity.

Hit and Miss Water Park
Oct. 2018 • Family
My kids love coming to this park, I bring them every school holidays for a morning. However the water park is very hit and miss. Didn’t start until 11am and seems to stop and start. Kids wait and wait and wait until it’s turned on and then it runs for 5 minutes. A sign nearby directs you to a website which gives information about ‘what’s on’ and ‘things to do’ and not about hours of operation as it suggests on the sign.
