What a track to have a short walk near Sydney's busy location. Take the ferry to Manly and then the bus to the northhead sanctuary. Then take the walk. You will not regret the walk of only around 30 mins. If you visit the place...More

Had a lovely couple of hours walking around the North Head Sanctuary - lots of places of historic interest and many stunning lookouts. It was July but there was a good smattering of flowers including some Flannel Flowers. A couple of options for a cuppa...More

A top vantage point for onshore whale watching. Plenty of rangers and volunteers on hand to point out the park wildlife. They are preserving the local penguin population, the bandicoots and are fighting ( sucessfully ) the feral fox problem. Well done NPWS.

What a gem!! Beautiful scenery, easy walking trails, well maintained and groomed grounds. Bustling with history dating back to the 1800s yet within sight of the CBD.

Walking among the rough cliffs, watching the crying waves fighting there way into Sydney's waterways.

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take
you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches
here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the
day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is
a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the
Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are
plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent
cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants
