The NED KELLY MUSEUM is part of KATE'S COTTAGE GIFTS SOUVENIRS MUSEUM & replica of the KELLY HOMESTEAD. Step through back of shop to the NED KELLY MUSEUM and an authentic replica of the Kelly Homestead... like the words of the song ... truly the "ramshackle hut" . Excellent historic coverage of the Kelly era. Rated 'The Best Ned Kelly Museum" by Getaway and featured on their show at least three times.

Somehow this one business has two separate listing for TripAdvisor reviews. Would you kindly take the time to review both KATE'S COTTAGE and the NED KELLY MUSEUM ? Thanks to all travellers who took the time to review us.

Not a bad place to check out, lots of memorabilia available and the house out the back is pretty cool! Was a touch Ned Kelley'd out by the end though! Do recommend

Thank you for your review. The house...ramshackle hut is pretty cool and spooky for some of the fey leaning. For some visitors they will stay for over an hour and still want to return but others may skim through ... such is their interest with a shorter visit. Thank you for recommending us and hope that you enjoy the rest... More

Plenty of memorabilia and trinkets for the Ned Kelly fans, whilst the museum at the rear of the premises is both informative and cost inexpensive. Recommended.

Hi Thank you for your review. We have kept our prices down for many years now: Adults $6.00 and school children only $1.00 and that includes up to 16 years. Also we don't put up our prices over the holiday season...it stays the same all year round. Hope that you have a Merry Christmas and travel safely. Chris Rod ,... More

Ned Kelly is the most wellknown outlaw in Australia and maybe the most controversial.. Get to know him better . Go the museum. It has a extensive collection of period memorabilia and if you have time you can really learn a lot about the social scene in the 1860-1870s . Australia was still a pretty lawless place as were the... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us. Yes the story of Ned Kelly is controversial but that is why it is so interesting. People will be arguing about him long after you and I are gone. There are more books written about Ned Kelly than for any other man in Australian history. Thank you again. Cheers Chris More

Thank you for you lovely response. Visitors to Glenrowan come from all over Australia. Thank you for taking the time. To do the museum and homestead ( ramshackle hut) justice, I do believe you need to allow at the very least 40 minutes. Many take over an hour. There is a lot to take in and absorb. Thanks again Chris More

Such an adorable little roadside stop! The staff here were fantastic and really informative, and offered us a great detour on our trip we had never considered. The museum itself is really informative with tones of memorabilia, it's a great way to break up a drive.

My friend and I were very impressed with our visit to Kate’s Cottage and the Ned Kelly Museum and Homestead. Having a son who was fascinated by Ned’s story, I thought I knew all there was to know about him, his Gang and family. But…. there was more…. Walking through the replica Homestead at the back, was like stepping into... More

What a fantastic stop over location at Glenrowan! The team at Kate's Cottage who run the Ned Kelly Museum (Chris, Rod and Diane) were friendly, accommodating and informative when I arrived to find out some more about the history of Ned Kelly and his last stand. The museum was inexpensive and presented very well. A great location for the family... More

Mostly reading about Neds family. That's great except when the kids are too young to read! Would have been good if the owners advised before they took my money.

As they say ...horses for courses. Just a couple of reviews back they reported how much the kids enjoyed the display. They usually always enjoy the cheeky cockatoos ... they have quite a fan club. We never charge for pre schoolers as we know that they will not get out of it what the older ones will. School age to... More
