Brambuk is a centre of aboriginal culture in the Grampians National Park. But I have not seen any aboriginal person there! The place is amazing and very much attractive. The idea of establishing the centre is brilliant! You can see aboriginal pictures, stories, movies there, but you can not feel the spirit of the culture. That is like a monument... More

This is my second visit and it was just as good if not better. To put this in context the museum exhibits and info made me feel embarrassed to be from the UK ....e.g. Our ancestors destroying and abusing the indigenous aboriginal culture . We also walked into the bush land to the left of the centre about half a... More

We visited this Centre at the start of our three-day hike along the Grampians Peaks Trail and reserved camping sites. The information from the friendly staff was detailed and accurate. At the end of our walk, we appreciated the tasty and well-presented food at the Centre cafe, though we felt that the offering of crocodile as part of the bush... More

Plenty of photos and information. Woman at Reception gave us the feeling she didn't want to be there. In cafe we ordered the lemon mytle scones cream and jam. Scones delivered but no jam and on request we were told they had run out. Not happy. Staffed by backpackers we think

Aboriginal culture is too often ignored in this country. This cultural centre gives tribute to these cultures and the historic significance of this amazing corner of Australian Victoria. Emotional and raw its a must!

Not far from the centre of Halls Gap, worth visiting to get an insight into the local aboriginal history. You can even paint you own boomerang, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed

Had a wonderful time at cultural centre. The children learnt a lot through the displays as well as the theatre. Children also painted boomerangs to take home

I visited here with high expectations of learning something about aboriginal culture and came away disappointed. Although there were some artifacts on show and information on boards the majority seemed more centred on the injustices forced on the aboriginal people by the Europeans. Even though it was and still is a sad part of our history, I thought it could... More

I love browsing around this place. So much to learn about, especially the way the Koori people managed the land with bushfires. The teens were vaguely interested in a few things, but it could do with a more interactive display to hold their imagination. There were activities available to do dot painting on boomerangs (at a small cost), but this... More
