Be ready to walk up and down hills and sneeze if you suffer from a dust allergy. Besides that, it's a cute little village that the teens seemed to like (no complaints from them). Make sure you have cash and visit the general store to buy your old fashioned lollies. And when you visit the Mine Managers home, go out... More

When you enter Coal Creek, you are stepping back in time to see how things were done back then. The set up is interesting and made better by people demonstrating or informing how things were done. It is worth preserving.

This place is a bit secluded, but we were recommended to go there. Admission is FREE. Very nice place to spend a few hours and learn about the coal mining past in Korumburra and surroundings. Well maintained ans staffed by enthusiastic volunteers. There is even a little train that makes a 20 min trip for $ 6.50. I would suggest... More

Had a couple of hours spare, went nto here to have a look. Was very impressed with the recreation of the old coal mining town. Very nice touch to give us an umbrella to use as it was showery. All the staff were very nice. Would recommend to anyone who was interested in how things used to be.

Visited here a few weeks ago as a friend had recommended it. It is free entry however there is a donation box & a souvenir shop. The site was a lot bigger than I had expected & was very interesting to see all the different buildings. A great place to take photographs.
