Stunning old world township

Enjoyable stroll along Piper Street, brousing the upmarket selection of shops. Endless choice of coffee shops and eateries. On the right Saturday farmers market and craft stalls.

We ate and enjoyed refreshments at a number of cafes, bars and restaurants on this street and no two were alike. Variety is indeed the spice of life!

We were fortunate to arrive in time for their monthly (?) street markets. We did a quick stroll through the town and visited the local shops. Loved the historical buildings. The information center is excellent on giving you ideas on areas to visit. Start their first if you are staying in the area.

We walked the length of Piper Street on a Saturday morning. While there are many old buildings, it's primarily a shopping area with some restaurants, a museum and a historic society office. It was worthwhile to see it but we did not buy much.

Piper St is one reason to stop in Kyneton. Park your car and take a walk along this historic street with its many Antique and curiosity shops from bygone days and pick up a keepsake from this historic town. If you are peckish then choose from a number of Restaurants and cafes in the area to enjoy a quick meal... More

There are lots of cafes and antique stores to visit along with other shops. It is a goid stroll from one end of the street to the other. It is a nice place to visit the history of Kyneton. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was quiet.

There are a lot of businesses (food and drink) along this street which are all probably good, however it is very disappointing that a lot were closed on Monday or Tuesday, even in the school holidays. I am sure that the street with its historic buildings and museum are worth a visit, but to not be open on days wgen... More

Honestly, I am very unsure as to why Piper Street is considered a place to go. Over priced shops that you could find in Melbourne. Average places to eat. Only unique place to shop is the amazing nursery and as far as food goes, yes there are some lovely restaurants and a few overpriced 'antique' (junk) stores but you may... More

Went there with a couple of friends for lunch before heading out to hanging rock. The street is lined with quite some unique shops (food to artsy/antique shops). We didn't visit the museum as it didn't appeal to us. The architecture of this place is quite amazing though (rustic, timeless). Overall, it's a good place for families to explore and... More
