When visiting Marysville you absolutely must incorporate a visit to the Steavenson Falls. Absolutely gorgeous! Very easy walk. Lots of parking available.

Short walk from carpark to Falls. Great at night when flood lit. Good photo opportunities. Walk to top of Falls can be muddy so wear good hiking shoes

The base walk is easily accessible and great viewing. The summit walk is best in drier weather. Fern gully walk is good too.

Lots of climbing. Lovely trees, watch out for snakes, we saw a copperhead very very close by in the afternoon sun.

We visited here in between showers, the viewing area and walking track are setup really well, a definite worthwhile visit

The carpark is only a short and flat 50 metres walk away from the waterfall. We visited twice - once during the day and another visit at night (it is open and very well it up until 11.00pm - see picture). It was impressive seeing the turbine that powers the lights at night and seeing the large volume of water crashing down into the creek below. This is well worth a visit - free entry and easy access.

We arrived at the huge empty car park and made the level easy walk to the falls viewing area. What a fantastic sight! We were mesmerised by the sheer quantity of water. We then took the track to the upper viewing point which gave us fantastic views and a very close look at the very top of the falls. Highly recommended!

Having stayed on a Friday night locally, we decided to drive up the road to the falls rather than walking due to the heat of the day. It looked like a great walk, but we gave it a miss on this day.

The small, easy walk from the carpark up to the falls is no trouble with young kids either. However on our visit there was a snake (copperhead?) curled up just off the main pathway that everyone was able to safely avoid (see picture).

Given the warm day it would have been nice to go for a swim, but as it feeds the town's water supply that is not allowed.

The falls were beautiful. Definitely worth the visit.

Steavenson falls is a great place to see one of Victoria's best waterfalls.
The walk from the carpark to the main viewing platform is short, relatively flat and wheelchair friendly. There are other walks leading to the other side of the falls or to the top if you are after a bit more exercise.
We had a nice sunny day with plenty of water going over the falls, so it looked great! Parking is pretty good (although can get a bit busy in peak season). Overall, well worth seeing!
