We had a great time at Andersons. We were served by Howard Anderson and, being the only ones there, enjoyed his full attention. He listened to what we liked, made some suggestions, answered our questions and provided a wealth of information not just about the wines and winery that he and his daughter run, but also about winemaking and the... Father and Daughter wine making team specialising in Sparkling Wines crafted in the Method Traditionelle way.The sparkling Shiraz and Durif are full of flavour and depth with great freshness. Great family run winery with some fantastic wines. Highly recommended. Sparkling Durif is excellent as well as their 2006 vintages

This place is a real gem! Upon arrival there was plenty of parking and we were the only guests. They were having a power outage but it made the place look pretty cool! The guy serving us was really knowledgeable and passionate about the wines and was able to give us a run down on the history of the place... More

I prefer wines from other regions and styles that have more finesses than traditional robust Rutherglen reds. But the Petite Verdot from Andersons is outstanding; a match for Loire Vally Petit Verdot; the only other place I know that does make a good varietal version of this often disregarded grape. And the education you will get from the pair of... More

One of our favourite Rutherglen wineries. Here you'll find outstanding wines that are extremely good value. There is a lot of different wines, so I think there's something for every wine drinker. Anderson makes beautiful sparklings. Howard and Christobelle are fantastic wine makers who are friendly and informative at cellar door. Don't miss Anderson on your visit to Rutherglen!

It may not look much from the street, a few sheds and a gravel driveway. But the wine is not to be underestimated. My parents told me about this place about 12 years ago, and from my perspective it only gets better. I love the cleanskins through to the museum/reverse wine releases. Stand out for me is most definitely the... More

Thanks for your review. It was great to see you over the walkabout weekend. It's fantastic when we have two (or more) generations of a family enjoying our wines - after all, we're two generations of a family making it! More

Award winning wines in a no-nonsense tasting setting. I always enjoy my visit, and am forever regretting my limited capacity for purchase. Generous, friendly service, yummy Durif, tasty "Melanie" - (late harvest Shiraz) - and delicious Musact. Vines are pretty, too.

Anderson's is a friendly smaller winery, where every part of the winemaking process is done on the premises by a dedicated father and daughter team. My brother in-law particularly liked the Durif and my husband and I really enjoyed a wine called 'The Storyteller'. It was interesting to read about the winery and the processes it uses to make their... More
