We were home on a very hot day with no power, so decided to go for a drive and try and find a cool spot. We ended up at The Blue Lotus Water 2628 Warburton Highway, Yarra Junction an hours drive from Melbourne. We spent over 2 hours strolling around the garden and the flowers were just stunning, I went... More

So on the advice of a friend we made the rather length drive out to Yarra Junction to check out the Lotus gardens as we were planning on making a water feature in our own garden. The people there didn't seem to know anything about lilies which was not encouraging. It costs like $18 to visit the garden which you... More

We sat and watched the birds, finches, rosellas, honey eaters and we even saw a humming bird. The lilly ponds were not full of lillies but there were enough... More

One hour drive from Melbourne, its a good day trip on a sunny day! You need 1-2 hours to see the garden and then spend sometime in the cafe. Very picturesque! The main cafe was closed at 3:30 ish but we could take-away from the kiosk and sit by the pond with flowers, which was nice! I only had a... More

The place was beautiful. It was great to see the different varieties of lotus and lily plant family. They offer colourful umbrellas to use for free if the weather is hot and sunny. Lovely garden and it was a good picnic spot too. They have chairs and tables available - bringing food is allowed which is a bonus and fantastic.... More
