Located in Belmont University this mansion is worth seeing. Admission is $12 and that will give you a guided tour of a formidable lady by the name of Adelicia Hayes Franklin Acklen Cheatham. This was her summer residence that was built as a resort. No cotton fields just beautiful gardens that were fit for kings. This estate has been restored... More

A stirring story of how individuals expressed their life at an earlier time. This mansion and it's original acreage were a significant part of the development of Nashville. It since be downsized and ultimately incorporated into Vanderbilt University. A great family outing for seeing the evolution of southern culture.

The history of the Belmont Mansion is interesting. Worth the time and price of admission. The grounds of the college around the mansion are beautiful. Everything is extremely clean.

We actually toured this because of the great Trip Advisor reviews, and it was well worth the time and the admission fee. Unlike some historic homes where you stay behind the velvet ropes and just peek into the rooms, here you walk into each room and can walk right up to anything you're interested in seeing up close. The woman... More

You should take a tour of this mansion and the grounds. Many buildings are part of Belmont University. The grounds are very well maintained.

We took the grounds self-guided tour. My three children 13-18 were not enthusiastic about the grounds you, but my husband and I enjoyed it. It is beautiful and would be perfect for a couples day at the winery.

This is rare place in Nashville to visit that is interesting for history lovers and not related to country music. You walk the house with a guided tour that starts every half an hour.

If history and the chance to 'feel it' appeals, come and visit this place. A beautifully restored and refurbished house with a comprehensive travelogue by guide Andy.

Left me googling for more info... incredible woman! Tour was kinda fast paced but very good. There was a ladies tea going on which made the house come to life even more instead of the sometimes dead emptiness that unloved in homes develop... this place was very much alive and festive...
