Standing as the centerpiece in Nashville's Centennial Park, the Parthenon is a full scale replica of the Parthenon in Athens, Greece. Come inside to see the 42-foot gilded sculpture of Athena, the permanent display of American paintings from the Cowan Collection, the history of the Nashville Parthenon dating back to the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition, and a variety of temporary shows and exhibitions! The entrance is located on the ground level of the East side of the building.

The Parthenon is perhaps the biggest symbol of Nashville's other moniker "The Athens of the East." Aside from being a great park, the Parthenon building is an interesting piece of architecture set right in the middle of the city. You can go inside the building...More

We didn't expect much but Centennial park is really nice and in the middle of it all. The building was closed but impressive nonetheless- worth a few minutes.

neat touristy area. While only a fraction of the real Parthenon size, it gave an ideal of the overwhelming size that it would have been.

We were very happy to visit the Parthenon. There was history to learn and walking the building was amazing. The statue of Athena inside was fabulous. You will be happy to visit here.

It is like visit Athens, Greece. The duplication and when it was built will amaze you. The old art inside is amazing. Like going to an expensive art gallery

Why does a museum need to be closed? Poor form especially during the summer. Be advised. Looks great from the outside. Park is pretty.

At first glance the Parthenon is just a cool picture spot. However, don't miss out on the interior museum. For a small fee, you see some great artwork, more interesting facts and a real surprise for the stop. You and the kids will love it!

We were in town trying to get more familiar with the city as our son will be attending Belmont University in the fall. Saw this & had no idea anything about the history behind the building...which really doesn't look like it fits into the Music...More

The sight is breathtaking. Make sure you go under the Parthenon to the museum. It will tell you about the history of how the Parthenon came about in Nashville. The statue on the 2nd floor of the museum was impressive!

The replica of the Parthenon is cool. It's the only one outside of Greece. Unfortunately, they are closed on Mondays, which is the day we were there, so I can't speak to the artwork within.
