I really enjoyed Heritage. It has been well preserved and gives an interesting look into the life of Andrew Jackson. I am a history buff and I really enjoyed it. My wife, conversely, is not, but she still had a great time. It was hot...More

Visited with my mom on a Saturday. We enjoyed the imagery, artifacts and information in the museum portion but things slipped a bit when we went to tour the house. There was quite a line up and about a 40min wait just to walk through...More

We toured the hermitage as a family and I was not sure how it was going to be received by my 11 and 15 year old- well they loved it! The self directed audio tour made all the difference. Everyone could go at their own...More

Spend a couple of hours. Great plantation, and grounds. Tour is excellent. Great way to spend day. Very nice facilities. Read a little about Andrew Jackson or Trail of Tears before you go, you'll enjoy it a bit more. Jackson was a colorful character.

The mansion and grounds have been faithfully restored, and era costumed guides are both interesting and entertaining - you almost expect Jackson himself to be seated around the corner!

This was a partially self guided tour. The museum was very interesting but may not be interesting for children. The home itself is very nice and it is very nice that the majority of the actual belongings did belong to Jackson or his immediate family...More

They sell beverages at several locations so no need to pack your own. The length of the walk is up to you. For just the house and gardens probably less than 1 1/4 miles. Is tour all of the hounds maybe 3 miles?
