We live in a tourist town so we tend to stay away from tourist "traps". This is not one of them. I am accused of having a short attention span but could have stayed here for hours. The music is a wide variety, something for everyone. Was a last minute decision but decided to go to see "Gunner" and "Deacon"... More

On my 5th trip to Nashville I finally made it to the mother church of country music. When in Nashville, you should really try to work this in. It was a great night of entertainment. Several of the performances brought memories of my childhood flooding in. Great performers - and we aren't even big country music fans. The seating is... More

Why go to Nashville? The Grand Ole Opry, of course! Sure downtown Nashville is a must see also with all the attractions centered around Lower Broadway but the main reason to visit this truly southern city is the Opry. Located a few miles north of downtown in a complex that also includes the Opry Mills Shopping Mall and the Gaylord... More

What's not to love about the Grand Ole Opry??? Just make sure you leave in plenty of time to get there. Traffic at the Opry House is horrendous! If you're staying in downtown Nashville leave at least an hour before show time regardless of what Google Maps tells you.

Such a great place! You have to do the backstage tour! You learn a lot of history about the place and get to see things that most people don't! Our tour guide was also great! What an experience if you come to Nashville it is a for sure must see!

We had a blast visiting the Grand Old Opry for a kid's event. The seating, while church bench style, was much more comfortable than the Ryman. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. The whole facility was clean and well maintained. I agree with critics who complain that the acoustics aren't up to normal Nashville standards, but they... More

Great time, Surprise visit by Randy Travis was great. Seating was a little cramped and drink prices were high.

The show was great, blessed by a visit by Mr Randy Travis. I was amazed by the camaraderie among the country singers that night and how it seemed that they help and support each other out. This is a must do when in Nashville. It represents country music and it is a great introduction to the genre.
