"The Bluebird Cafe is one of the world's preeminent listening rooms and has gained worldwide recognition as a songwriter's performance space where the "heroes behind the hits" perform their own songs; songs that have been recorded by chart-topping artists in all genres of music. Located in a small strip mall outside of downtown Nashville, the tiny 85 seat venue is unassuming in appearance but some of the most significant songwriters and artists have performed on this stage.

We were lucky enough to have got tickets for the Saturday night 'in the round' show - 4 songwriters playing their hit songs (and others) and talking stories about how and when the songs were written. We knew tickets would be hard to get so we were quick to reserve them online as soon as they went on sale (usually... More

We tried to go to the Bluebird for an 8:00pm show. Doors opened at 7:30 and we got there at 6:30 and did not get in. So if you plan on going, GET THERE EARLY. Room is limited. We drove back later in the night, but the room was still full. We could hear a glimpse of what was going... More

We managed to score bar seats for a Wednesday late show. Arrived about 40 mins early & doors opened about 30 mins before. If you have tickets queue to the left of the door - if not queue on the right(when facing the bluebird). Show was fantastic! 4 awesome singer songwriters who were all v different but each great! Kevin... More

Getting tickets for The Bluebird involves camping out on the internet and being very fast and very lucky, so we were already hyped before we arrived. We were not disappointed, the music being sublime, the atmosphere much like an evening with friends. The wait staff are kind and generous, the space is cramped but certainly tolerable and the vibe is... More

Went to many great places on first trip to Nashville, but the Bluebird was the best!. Maybe we just lucked out on who was performing , Grammy winners and writers for Kenney Chesney, Brad Paisley , Trace Adkins .... but I think this place would be incredible anytime. Intimate atmosphere with fantastic music and stories. You MUST get to this... More

If you don't make reservations you can still get in if you are one of the first 24 people in line. There is a $7 per person minimum for food/drink, but no cover. I would suggest getting there by 3:30 if you are going to try to get in for the first show.

A must do if you can score a seat. Only about 100 seats for the two shows, 6:30 and 9:00 (or 9:30?). No cover for early show. $15 for late show. Each show has a mandated $7 per person food/drink buy. Full bar. We had finger food, which was surprisingly good. But they have entree choices as well. Four singer/songwriters... More

This venue is unlike anything I have ever visited. Admission by reservation (primarily), this 'listening room' is for music appreciation. Well known performers and/or songwriters have graced this small space over the years. Cell phones OFF, applause between songs is the expectation. What you get in return is a musical experience where music IS the reason you are there. By... More

Our Adventures by Disney stopped here, and we were treated to a private event here. The food was absolutely wonderful, but the whole entertainment portion was out of the ball bark wonderful. We were able to listen to 2 songwriter/singers and I am now in love with country charm and music!!!
