If you're a reader, great browsing

My whole family are readers and all of us (from 7 to 68) enjoyed browsing in this (mostly) used-book store. Loads of books, many authors, new and old choices (ranging from... read more

Can I just say I love how his little shop gives a book to every kid that visits AND they have a book shelf inside The Pancake Pantry across the street for patrons to enjoy ! How awesome is that?!?! We are on our last leg of a 10 day road trip and this was a much needed change in... More

Loads of books, many authors, new and old choices (ranging from classics to unknown, with a few shelves of brand new books). Be aware that the books are marked down to about half their original value, but it depends on... More

One of the Uber drivers I had recommended stopping at Bookman Bookwoman while I was walking around town. What a great find! They have a great selection of fiction and non fiction. You can find anything from a children's book to a James Patterson novel to a travel guide about Egypt to one of Ina Garten's cookbooks. They have soft... More

This is one of the only used bookstores in the Nashville area, and it suffers from big-city pricing. Used books aren't cheap, but they do have an incredible inventory, even including rare and old collections ($995; $1295; and up!). They have new books, as well, and I LOVE the "free books for children" cart.

If you love books, you will love this store. I could have spent much longer in here. There are tiny alcoves and shelves with rows and rows of books on them. It might be hard to find something specific, but if you're a book browser, it's lots of fun.

After breakfast across the street at The pancake pantry we wondered over to BookMan BookWoman. What a treat. Classics old and new. Bound sets of encyclopedias, such an inviting atmosphere and excellent service. I purchased several books by Elizabeth Strout, can't wait to visit again.

I mean lots of them. Rows, stacks, boxes, little nooks and crannies filled with books. It was a dream for these two bibliophiles. My only compliant was the person who checked us out. I will give her the benefit of a doubt, but she wasn't very nice or friendly. It could also be that it was close to closing time... More

I love bookstores and try to visit independent or used bookstores on our vacations. While in Nashville, we ate at the Pancake Pantry, and BookMan BookWoman was nearby. My family enjoyed perusing the piles and investigating the twists and turns of the store. I found a local book to add to my library, but I didn't buy my usual armload,... More

This store has a lot of books in a small space. While you can find some good buys it is very difficult to spend the time going through the shelves as they are very crowded.
