I hate heights. But don’t let this stop you for going on some awesome paths and great picture opportunities. You can take post card pictures off this bridge alone. If you map it, just park for free at the east side in the water park parking lot. Short walk to bridge. Clean safe and what a view. A must do when near the Opryland mall.

Rented a scooter and “drove” the bridge at night... great sights to see and had some fun on the drive up and down the bridge. Totally free (except the electric scooter) and well worth the views of the skyline at night.

Some of the photos connected with this site are not correct, they are from a different bridge in downtown Nashville called John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. The Cumberland Pedestrian Bridge is a nice place if you want to bike, jog, etc. For out of town visitors who were looking for a scenic view of a nice place to chill and look, this was not it. Some of the photos give the wrong idea of what it looks like. You have to turn in at the sign for Wave Country to get to the parking lot. It’s then a long walk on a path with a lot of bike riders to get to the bridge. There is no place to sit and look at the river. It’s not a particularly pretty view if that’s what you’re interested in. The views are better from the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

I loved walking this bridge! Sat on a bench at the halfway point, plugged in my earphones and listened to country music while watchin the river flow by. Loved the vibe so well I did that two days in a row.

Neither address in Trip Advisor or Apple Maps got us to the right spot. You need to park in the Twin Rivers Park/Wave Country parking lot and walk the greenway trail to the bridge. It’s a fairly short and easy walk out to the bridge; the path goes under the interstate. Once you get to the pedestrian bridge, there’s great views of the river and, if your timing is right, you might see the paddle wheel boat go under the bridge. There was a nice walking/biking path that went along the river as well from the other side of the bridge. Took us about 30 min for an easy walk from the parking lot to the bridge and back. Beware, the walk back is a bit uphill at the end to get back to the parking lot.

We walked up the fairly steep grade to the top of the bridge. Nice seating area and place to take photos when you get to the top. The elevator wasn't working but the walk up was worth it. 360 degree views, Acme Seed Company, The Stadium, the River, Nashville, Hard Rock, Florida Georgia Line Bar. Try it.

Great stroll across the bridge for city views. Got some great pics along the way. It was hot but we went early enough to enjoy the area. Lots to see or do in the city but not as nice as East Nashville. Loved exploring the area!

Since the time zone changed I was up early and walked over the bridge. The city at dawn was beautiful. I had brought along a cigar for the trip and smoked it while on the bridge. I did not bother anyone and felt like an old tome river boat pilot

Pedestrian bridge it’s closed to car traffic. You can walk about the Cumberland River. We took a walk From one side to the other and was able to see the Downtown Nashville area.

Read the positive views; wife & I decided to give it a try. GPS took us to The Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge on Two Rivers Parkway. This is NOT the bridge that overlooks the city skyline, which is pictured in a number of the photos, which is the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. Nevertheless, beautiful walk with all sorts of nature trails.

I am just wondering how everyone here found it. My guess is that people searched up parking at Nissan stadium. Please tell me how u found it because in my idiotic thinking I looked up the bridge and wasted an hour of my life.

The attraction you are referring to in your question is the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, Nashville. The Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge, is several miles up river in a more natural area, not an urban area.

I am still confused about which bridge this is, Google maps has Cumberland Pedestrian Bridge 9 miles from Nissan Stadium but has
John Seigenthaler pedestrian bridge right next to the stadium . Does anyone know the difference between the 2 bridges
Written May 2, 2017
Hi ReddyBro,
I just did some research and realized that along with you being confused, pretty well everyone who left a review of the Cumberland Pedestrian Bridge got it mixed up with the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge (including me). The Cumberland Pedestrian Bridge is quite a distance from the Nissan Stadium and not near downtown. The John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge is right downtown and crosses over to the Nissan Stadium. I hope this clears things up for you.

Several reviews talk about this bridge being right downtown. But the address and location on the map are not downtown. Some talk about lots of free parking but don't go at night while others talk about the beautiful lights and nighttime photos. Are there two different bridges or one really big bridge with different entrances?
Written March 9, 2017
We stayed at the Hilton and the bridge was within walking distance. it is very pretty at night when lit. Great views of Titan stadium day or night.
Written March 9, 2017
I don't remember if there are lights along the trail, but I believe it would be very dark. I do remember there is a tunnel to get to the bridge.... I wouldn't walk it at night. Go downtown to the bridge and see the city lights instead.

is there anywhere to park near the bridge?
Written April 28, 2016
Absolutely! On the east bank side of the river you can park free right up against the beginning of the bridge. Parking on the other side will cost you and also is complicated by congestion, etc.

hola, que cosas hay cerca, el downtown? alguno de los miuseos de country o cash=?
Written January 18, 2016
Your question would be appropriate for the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, Nashville, which is a different attraction than the Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge, which is not near the places you listed.
