Spent 4 days and 3 nights in a cabin. They are amazing little cabins with a wood burning stove and all the necessities. No TV but that was great and having a front porch with Rocking Chairs made me super happy.

We loved the laid back area. Be sure to drive up to the settlement and the mountaintop to see the site of the old hotel and blooming plants.

Had a great bday trip to Roan. We stayed in site 50 and loved it. The overflow area is nicer for privacy. Bigger lots also.

The mountains are prettier in the mist and rain. I prefer them in this weather than in the fall with all the garish colors or in the sun, when the air is dead without the sound of water falling on those giant Rhoddie leaves.
