Excellent, well organized displays, interesting artifacts, educational. Enjoyed our time there. No admission charge, but they appreciate donations if you are able.

A great place to visit and partnered well with the military park's that are in the area. It has several artifacts from the Civil War era that some of the parks did not have. There was a replica boat house that is really neat for smaller children. A good experience.

Went not expecting very much but were very surprised. The place is full of all types of exhibits and is a must see when in Savannah Tn. The lady in the place was very nice and friendly.

Imagine a small county museum. They usually specialize in just that one county, with items (poorly marked) all crammed into one small room. Now, take that image out. The Tennessee River Museum does a good job trying to describe life for local tribes before European contact. It examines the impact of Jackson's Indian Removal Act (The Trail of Tears), and... More

In the area for a few weeks so we were looking for places to visit. The Tennessee River Museum was a fun stop to learn about the area from the Indians, through the Civil War, to the river boats. If you go to Shilo Battlefield, the admission to the TRM is free (although - give them a few bucks anyway).

Very nice and friendly place to tour. There is a lot of information about the Indians and pottery. Displays of rocks and shells also pearls. We did not have time to watch the display videos and we were sorry not to see these. We had not planned enough time for everything. Our loss! You will enjoy this museum but make... More

The Tennessee River Museum is free when you visit Shiloh National Military Park. It is well laid out and features an excellent exhibit highlighting the naval and land weapons of the US Civil War. The exhibit on Indian Burial Grounds is excellent as well. I recommend it!
