On our way to Cade's Cove, my friend, Sherry, and I just had to stop off in Sevierville to see the life-size bronze statue of it's famous hometown girl, Dolly Parton! But first we... read more

Before we moved here, we vacationed here. Parents had to come downtown to see the famous statue. There's nothing to it. Plus the fact it represents Dolly in her early career, before she became an icon. Most tourists don't get to see Dolly the way she is today. Visited years ago, live here now, so don't bother with when did... More

On our way to Cade's Cove, my friend, Sherry, and I just had to stop off in Sevierville to see the life-size bronze statue of it's famous hometown girl, Dolly Parton! But first we stopped in at the local McDonalds for lunch and directions and Lordy, don't make the mistake of calling it Sevier ville but pronounce it Severe-ville! I... More

Stopped by for a Pic! Not far off of the beaten path. Perfect monument for a lady that has done so much for the area! Is there another person that has done more or had a greater impact for their hometown? I can't think of anyone?

This is a nice stop by and take a photo visit. Located on the East side of the downtown courthouse area, you can read some about the area, then walk across the street to Courthouse Donuts for great fresh made daily donuts.

We spent part of our day looking for Dolly's residence while in Sevierville. Before we started, we went downtown and visited the area. In the center of town, we found a statue of Dolly Parton. It was a very good likeness of her. Looks as if she had just jumped up on that rock and started to play and sing.

May 2nd or 3rd in 1987. Dolly and family was there. After the dedication one of the sisters either Rachael or Stella was very kind enough to allow me to have a photograph taken with her which I have hanging on my wall to this very day! Please pray for everone affected by the horrible fires! I was there at... More

Just stopped by here on our trip through to Gatlinburg. Nothing big; nice to see a tribute to Dolly.

This is definitely a tourist destination. Located on the East side of the Court House square, the statue pays homage to a local treasure. Stop by and have your picture made with Dolly!

It's a statue. It looks like Dolly in the 60s and 70s but the ummm "area" is way way to small to be lifelike.

We enjoyed finding the center of Sevierville to locate and photograph Dolly's statue. We had to ask directions, but it was worth the drive.
