My wife and I joined a small group on a tour of beautiful Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains. The tour was lead by Bill Landry who has preserved much of the the heritage of the mountains through his work with the Heartland Series of WBIR TV, Knoxville. Bill kept up a warm narrative of the people and stories... More

I did not dislike this trip but I wouldn't recommend it as a must-see either for a family with teenagers. There were a couple stops along the road that we made including an abandoned house and some creeks. It wasn't a major fun experience and I wouldn't do it again but I'm glad that we went at the time we... More

It was nice viewing all the surroundings around Cades Cove especially seeing it was free. The view of the mountains were amazing. We would have loved to see some animals but I'm guessing it was still too hot at 4:30. It took us over a hour to get there so I was a little disappointed to not see any animals... More

The scenery was pretty cool, but each attraction had at least half a mile walk in, so my little brother and two-year-old nephew couldn't even do the whole thing. The map came in handy, but it was still hard to navigate. The whole one-way road thing was kinda annoying, 'cause we accidentally missed the first stop and almost missed a... More

We took this tour today! Our family of 10 had never driven the Cades Cove loop. This was the perfect way to do it. We were able to secure a private small bus for our group. Our tour guide, Mark, used to teach, and he was so perfect for teaching and entertaining our kids, aged 8, 10, 12, and 12... More

Hard to imagine a more beautiful setting for nature lovers. Saw two bears close up (from the car). You cannot be on a hurry to get through here. It takes time. Worth the trip.

My husband and I were lucky enough to be invited for the first tour, before it was ready for the public. We have since taken the tour two more times. The best was when family came to visit from Charleston, SC and we rented a tour bus just for us. It was fantastic, lots of fun and the kids really... More

This was the 2nd time this year that we visited Cade's Cove. This trip was very beneficial in the bear sightings as there were numerous sightings as we drove through. Such a lovely setting for a step back in time!
