This isolated road section is easily reached from Knoxville. It is 33 miles of curves and spectacular views. The new segment is amazing with some crazy bridges. We went in early Spring bewfore the leaves had partially obscured the views. We will go back for...More

The views of the "missing link" of the Foothills Parkway are spectacular. There are plenty of pull-offs for photos and soaking in the beauty. You know that when there is such beauty in the dead of winter, it will be even more incredible in the...More

We recently traveled the latest opening of highway on the Foothills Parkway into Wears Valley. We anticipate on making another travel on this newest section during the Fall season to enjoy the scenery overlooking the valleys.

Went over the foothills parkway for the first time. It was beautiful. Great views. No wonder it took awhile to complete. Will be on my places to go list every time I visit.

We visited the "missing link" Foothills Parkway extension the day after it opened in November 2018. While there were a lot of people and cars because it had just opened, we found it an easy drive and plenty of parking at the various pull-offs. This...More

The speed limit is 35 and many automatics will downshift on their own. May have to brake some.
