We were staying at the Mayan Dude Ranch and went to the Medina River the last 3 days. Although the temp was 101 today the river was a cool resort since there was lots of shade. It is truly beautiful!

We stayed at the Skyline Ranch RV Park and got to fish on the Medina River. It is very pretty and we are planning to go back next year.

My only gripe about this place is having to pay a fee to get into the park to access the river. It's $5 for everyone over 12 years old. It's not priced by vehicle. I paid with cash. I don't know if they accept credit...More

This is country side driving/stopping not to be missed. Texas is a beautiful state in this part of the world. Slow down. Take it in.

This is one of the prettiest rivers I saw during my Texas trip. It's fascinating to me how these Texas rivers are almost level with the land and don't have high banks, like the ones in NH. Anyway, I loved looking at it. It was...More

We used the Medina River Company for tubing. We did the 1 hour float and this river is amazing. It has water about 70 degrees, is crystal clear and a few rapids spots that are very fun. The scenery is breathtaking. Go on a weekday...More

What a beautiful view at water's edge. Great place to stop and picnic and watch the ducks. There was a cute little play yard for kids as well.

This is a great place to just kick back and enjoy the Medina river as it runs through Bandera. Just to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day is all you can ask.

on where you plan to go. If you go to the City Park there is a $5.00 per person fee (just insane) but if you go to any of the road side parks the Medina River is FREE!!!

I would like to take an effortless kayaking trip down this river because my children are beginners. Can anyone tell me a good place to put our kayaks in? In the reviews it mentions Brewington Creek Crossing but I can't find it on google and I'm not sure where that is since I am new to Texas. Thank you.

I think you have the location, just make sure you take out at Bandera before the bridge and small waterfall right by the river park. If you go past the waterfall you won't be able to really take out for about another 5 or... More
