We drove the 45 minutes up to Bonham State Park for the first time in about 15 years. Our main objective was to spend some time exploring the hiking trails. We took the full length of the 1.6 mile Gnarly Root Trail that had some...More

I really like the Bonham State Park. It's full of tall trees and is usually not very busy or crowded as the public Bonham lake. It offers several barbeque pits for barbecuing with picnic tables throughout the tree-filled area with a beautiful scenic view. *Look...More

Decent fishing, very clean, friendly staff. I would recommend this place for a family outing or just going to fish

When your riding and you'd like to ride through the park for a whole 5 minutes it's a travesty to have to pay full price to enter.

You can camp,in the oak trees or on the beach. After you set the camp and hit the pier and do some fishing. We love to trap the blue crabs there too. If your in to boating they have a good landing there.

What an awesome park, especially to be so small. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit there. Lots of trails and great swimming in the lake.
