Just love our Texas hill country. Going to be retiring soon and actually considering the area. Rural enough to enjoy the quiet and near enough to be close to big city. The spring is beautiful and love it.

We recently stayed in a cabin on the lake and took a boat cruise on the lake. We were hoping to see bald eagles but did not unfortunately. However we enjoyed hearing about and seeing this large body of water, how & why it was...More

Took a trip on the Canyon of the Eagles boat tour. Nice trip up the lake/river. Saw waterfalls, many types of birds, some animals on the shoreline. Some nice hill sides to see too.

Take the Boat Tour before they stop doing it. You might spot a bald eagle or 2. Lots to see and the value is good.

We really enjoy sailing this lake. We have rented a home on the lake and we have stayed at a family run resort. Lake is big! If you think you can get from one end to the other in a day you are over scheduling...More

It's a very large lake formed from the building of a dam decades ago. It's beautiful but can become very frightening on windy days! Boating is recommended and the ducks on the lake look so peaceful.

Our cruise was 2-2 1/2 hours long. I believe their website tells how long the tours are.
