What a historic gem ! We stopped in for a quick visit while in town and stumbled upon a cute Spring Break activity , cardboard cleburne . The staff had everything that was needed to make a fun little city .
Free, donations accepted. Housed in a beautiful old Carnegie Library, this was a very interesting and unexpected find. History starts with pre history and Laylend's involvement and moves nicely through town history. Households, tools, firearms and local individual stories. Although this museum is difficult to find if you're not local, it is a very nice one set inside a rare Carnegie Library. Lots of historical markers around the building. Inside, there are two stories. The top floor houses a theatre of sorts and a...More
The building is just beautiful. The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The artifacts are fun to look at and take a still through history.
The theater area is beautiful and in great shape. Will be an amazing place for weddings or other functions.
