Even with GPS, we drove by the entrance, so watch out for it as the sign isn't prominent. It's an easy drive off I-10, exit 524, about 40 miles north of San Antonio. In a tranquil setting with well-spaced picnic tables, benches and playground, it offers views of the lake, lots of shady spots and well tended grounds. We heard... More

I had hoped to have my wedding at this location. Actually I was going to have my wedding at this location. Reservation made, according to policy and paid in full. I'm not from Comfort, in fact I live in Beaumont Tx. My fiance and I drove out to visit the place we were going to say our I do's. We... More

We've met other couples there for play time and lunch with our families, a church-wide Chili Cook-off, as well as a 10k fundraiser for a women's shelter. This park is clean, well-maintained, and lovely. There is a great playground for the kids, beautiful walking trails, pavilions, and clean restrooms. My favorite park around!

This is a beautiful, quiet space to walk or simply sit and reflect. But be careful when approaching the water...there are snakes in the area.

This new county project offers walking trails, a lake to fish in, a place to launch canoes and kayaks, a big pavilion for group activities, and an event center on top of the highest hill in the park. It is certainly a great addition to the area attractions.

This is a very attractive park if you have time to spare when visiting Comfort. The park is adjacent to the I-10. There is no entrance fee. The centre point is a small lake, within easy reach of the parking lot. There are crushed gravel paths with impressive access for wheel chair users. At the lake, there are several fishing... More

Have hiked Joshua Dprings several times and each hike is different. I especially enjoy the expansive views from several points. It is certainly worth all the effort to hike the winding road up to the event center and take-in the panaramic view of the classic hill-country. At one of the lower trails, I was fortunate to see my first Eastern... More

Take your fishing pole! Crushed gravel path for walks or runs. Views of the lake and hill country are awesome. Kids can fish without a license as long as an adult is licensed.

We found this place by accident and really enjoyed our afternoon. Very clean, roads good, little pond beautiful, picnic tables have nice shade, nice childrens play area, 2 fishing piers, good hiking trails. We were excited about the fishing but didn't catch a thing in the 3 hours we were there. Had a nice visit with the park attendant and... More
