JFK Assassination and Museum Tour with Lee Harvey Oswald Rooming House

301 reviews
The circumstances of JFK’s assassination are controversial. During this guided tour, a historian helps you separate the facts, stories, and theories behind that pivotal day in 1963. Visit both the Grassy Knoll in Dealey Plaza and the John F. Kennedy Memorial during this tour that includes entrance fees and round-trip transport.

What a vibrant place to visit. So many bars and resturants in this area. The food was fantastic...The Free Man had amazing live music every night. The art work is like no other..take the time to sit and enjoy and enjoy everything it has to offer

Go on a sunny weekday, just walk around and enjoy the amazing variety of murals. Then eat outside (covid you know) at Monkey King.

Came expecting something like Wynwood in Miami or U Street in DC - pretty disappointed. It's not artsy, craftsy, or even all that funky. It's a bunch of bars and rather glum retail overlaid with rumbling highways on one end and petering out to a rather glum residential section on the other. Somehow, they manage to think it worth charging for parking even on a Sunday afternoon. Not a destination spot unless you're with a group of drinking friends and even then I don't get that much vibe out of it. Vastly overrated IMOP.

Deep Ellum is as old as the city of Dallas. It's history can be seen in the beautiful architecture that dates back to the early 20th Century. Many of the curbs are high so that early riders could step from horse drawn carriages. There are dozens of really good restaurants in Deep Ellum. Black's Barbecue (Lockhart, Texas) is one of the best barbecue restaurants in Texas,. The Blue Marlin Restaurant , and the All Good Cafe feature fantastic late night bands. At night, the late night crowds swarm the streets and music venues. Deep Ellum can become extremely dangerous around midnight. Robberies and shootings are becoming shockingly common around the bars. Beggars are common as well. Daytime is family friendly. Nighttime is dangerous. So bewsre.

Yes, every local knows the ethnic history of Deep Ellum, and it’s still known to this day for its vibrant night life with diverse music and bars, great eats and some shopping. It also has a hostel and is easy to get to from our DART rail Green Line Deep Ellum Station. Bring your camera, it has many beautiful murals for great photo ops!
