Visited the Dallas Art Museum and Brad Oldham's Gallery. Well Worth the visit. The Art Museum has a fantastic permanent collection, and while we were there had a terrific fashion exhibit, Mexican art exhibit and American Smithsonian exhibit.

This area offers 2 great galleries. The museum has a well curated collection and interesting small spaces for small collections. Next door is the sculpture gallery so you can see both in a day. Worth a visit.

We walked and roamed the area on a bright Saturday taking in the sights, the grassy parks and the museums. Uplifting.

I walked around and admired the buildings and the cathedral, but unfortunately it was a Monday and everything was closed. Otherwise, I would have gone into the Art Museum. At least it was a nice place to stroll, despite the 90-degree midday heat.

So many clever and interesting shops to browse. I really enjoyed the Opportunity Market free trade boutique and the AAC Event store as well as lunching at Enos for excellent salads and pizza.

I've lived in the metrolex for years and am happy to see the arts district continuing to grow and thrive with new venues. I went to an outdoor event that was well attended and it was a lot of fun.
