JFK Assassination and Museum Tour with Lee Harvey Oswald Rooming House

294 reviews
The circumstances of JFK’s assassination are controversial. During this guided tour, a historian helps you separate the facts, stories, and theories behind that pivotal day in 1963. Visit both the Grassy Knoll in Dealey Plaza and the John F. Kennedy Memorial during this tour that includes entrance fees and round-trip transport.

We had a very pleasant visit to the museum. You have to appreciate an institution that allows you to visit for free (just asks for a donation if possible)The collection is very complete. We had a bit of trouble getting oriented through the galleries. At our exit we were informed the museum is organized in a big circle, I suspect knowing that earlier would have helped. We enjoyed the primitive art a lot and the European collection has incredible Monet, Renoir, Dali and Picasso among others.

I enjoyed going here every now and then to sketch the sculpture. The place is amazing and spacious and the activities that they have in Dallas Museum of Arts are all interesting. Would love to do it again!!!

Very nice art museum. The employees have such a passion for the art. Free admission, on site parking like $15 but their are parking meters very close by so no need to speed the $15.

I'll admit I'm not a big museum lover but I was pretty surprised at how boring this museum was. It's massive and yet it barely had anything inside of it. The sculpture garden had 2 sculptures in it. I believe admission is always free and it's a 2 min walk from Klyde Warren Park so it doesn't hurt at all to stop in and stroll about, but you definitely don't need a lot of time. Pay for cheap parking on the street and budget yourself 20 - 30 minutes.

Sizeable collection spanning several disciplines arrayed over multiple floors (never did discover how to access 2nd floor directly from the ground floor and it has probably the most viewed exhibits). Leave several hours if you want to thoroughly explore and give more than a passing glance to the fairly extensive holdings of non-western art. Don't miss the early American either, and if you enjoy decorative arts; there's a fair representation of both European and American as well. The weakest collection might be contemporary, but that also may be because a huge amount of exhibit space is now being occupied by a (so-so) special exhibit on rooms and such. Attracted by the neon house, I paid for that and while OK, it ended up being more space than thought. For me. Overall a very worthwhile experience that, because FREE, I was able to spread over one evening and early afternoon the next day.
