Well, the first floor is an eclectic collection of modern art/devices and temporary exhibits. I loved the activity room and the ideas for the little trips catered to the children (such as "where are the cats" in the paintings). Higher levels get better so do not get discouraged! Even if the collections seem to be scattered in time and place,... More

An outstanding collection, diverse, superb examples. Beautiful space to appreciate art. The staff are helpful, admission is free, relaxed about photography. We spend two hours and will come again. Innovative, friendly, learned. Exactly what a great museum should be.

We went recently to see the Egyptian Cats exhibit and also the Nature in Medieval Art one. Both were quite interesting, although not showy. We are members, so enjoy coming. Their permanent collection is quite varied and has a large collection of decorative furniture and such.

The DMA has a fantastic and global collection. What's on display is spread out through the large facility. Worth spending a good morning or afternoon wandering through art history. The hands-on family center is great and fun - staff are clearly dedicated and passionate. Would readily return.

I really enjoyed this. It was free to get in. It had accessible parking close by that was affordable. I paid to see a special exhibit that was worth every penny. Highly recommend visiting.

Filled with well-behaved Millennials and kind-hearted docents, this art museum features a solid collection of Impressionist pieces, Greek vases, and Asian collectibles. Wide open, spacious, clean. Best part: Free admission - a rarity in the art world.

The collection galleries are free. The special and visiting exhibits have a fee ranging from $10-16. Membership gets you free parking and two tickets to each special exhibit. We visited Divine Felines. It was great. We loved the variety of "cats" and how they were portrayed. The ear jewelry was over the top! The cats were all beautiful and elegant.... More

This isn't necessarily my taste of art, but it is very wide ranging and a huge museum. I can't believe it's free!
