I'm an artist so I love art galleries and museums. I like this one in particular because it's in a modern light building and the close to walk to from downtown. The art displayed was a good cross-section of art history and while I was there they had an interesting interactive exhibition in the creative space on the first floor.... More

Is this museum worth a visit? Sure if you like art. Certainly because I'm not sure if it's free every day or just certain days. But to be honest, because of the small collection, the museum should do a better job with special exhibits. We were there for the Mexican art show and that was okay -- but frankly, they... More

Had a good time. Enjoyed the exhibit. Sundays are free and it's very busy. Nice seeing so many people of all ages enjoying the exhibit. DMA members do not have to wait on line.

The Dallas Museum of Art was a calm, zen-like experience after your typical hipster burger and beer fare near by. A friend and I were recommended to visit and we are so glad we did. What a lovely museum. Beautifully curated and thoughtfully laid out. I am an art museum goer by trade (DIA, Chicago, Cleveland, Corcoran, Flint, National Gallery,... More

Quite extensive collection in free section of the Museum, world class artists works on display. Nice setting, spacious and easily accessible. Definitely a must stop when in Dallas. Surrounded by new buildings and old historic structures as well.

There is something for everyone in this museum, and that is how it should be. I was particularly struck by the number of school groups that flooded into the building as it opened; each of which appeared to be assigned a docent who not only knew his/her stuff, but was excellent with children. Kudos to the educational dept.! The collection... More

You need all day at this museum to take in all it has to offer. We went trice-once on a Sunday to view the current Mexico show and during the week to see the rest of the museum. The Mexico show is wonderful and well attended so plan ahead. It is free on Sundays but very busy. This museum of... More

My daughter, 18 year old granddaughter and I enjoyed a Sunday afternoon at the DMA. We saw their excellent Mexico exhibit. The museum was a fun, happening place for all of us. Lots of music, excellent crowd control so that the exhibition rooms were not overcrowded. Very helpful staff and volunteers.

Went to the DMA to see the current Mexican exhibit. It was superb. It had Frida Khalid as well as Diego Rivera, but many more Mexican artists. It had various styles from cubism to surrealism. Extensive and interesting. Sculptures and paintings!
