You must walk around this university to appreciate the landscaping, the tree line drives where the trees cover the roadway, the carefully designed buildings to create a uniform campus. Inside the buildings, they are worth the visit. we walked the entire campus, going inside several building that were open to the public. Though a small university, this is a great... More

We loved walking around this beautiful campus in the evening. Really, really nice and worth the visit. My 13 year old said she is ready to put 1 college on her list, SMU.

One of the most beautiful campuses I have been to. There are lots of large grassy spaces to play and have a picnic. Take a walk around the campus and there are plenty of large, beautiful shade trees and well tended landscaping. The only trouble we had was finding parking. There is a playground near the Greek houses with some... More

While visiting the George W. Bush Presidential Library I took a short spin around the campus. The campus is a quiet restitude in the middle of the city. Very clean and nicely laid out. It's a convenient side trip wile visiting the presidential library.

Our son attended this school for a couple of years. he was also in the msrching band. The campus is beautiful.. Our son made many friends there. Because of the size of the campus he was able to get to classes with ease.

If you're in the neighborhood it's worthwhile to wander the grounds of this beautiful university campus. Located about a ten minute drive from downtown Dallas, SMU is also the home of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Founded in 1911, SMU is old by Texas standards. While there are few buildings dating back to this time great care... More

I used to teach at SMU so am familiar with it in many ways. My favorite visit is to the Meadows Museum, which is the best Hispanic museum north of Mexico. It is amazing and well-curated. SMU's oldest building, Dallas Hall, build in 1915, and the main view as you drive up Bishop Blvd from Mockingbird is one of the... More

On the weekends, a great place to enjoy a walk on the grounds along the central boulevard. Next to the Bush library and across Hillcrest from lots of restaurants.

We know that a University is more than athletics, but that was our focus this trip. The campus is beautiful. As Methodists, it makes me both and proud and joyful to see the campus alive with learning. The campus is supported by the Mockingbird Transport Center for bus, train, and retail services plus a strip mall with restaurants and other... More
