Our hotel suggested we walk there. There were so many great booths and food and drink but the highlight was the Eden Hill Vineyard and Winery tasting room. Tabby showed us some great varietals to sample and then we took a bottle with us. Great way to spend a Saturday!

Convenient location, "within" walking distance (40 minutes) from downtown Dallas, where you can sample different foods, shop, relax, etc. More touristy than "typical" farmer's market (e.g, on Saturday monring) and in my opinion, it caters to tourist more than locals.

The Farmers Market was only a short walk outside the center of Dallas so it is conveniently located in terms of exploring downtown. We went in early February so there wasn't much happening outside but it was still lively on the inside. We wanted to taste some Texan beef so we purchased an amazing fresh burger from 'Beyond the Butcher' where they use fresh beef from the stand adjacent (you can pick the cut - see my photo) to make some delicious burgers! Not Local produce. The Dallas Market definitely has its place but other venues now serve local produce, and are better at that need. Here I find a lot of merchandise that looks like a craft fair. Community now caters to young hip people who don't have to care about walking far just to park. And I don't drink alcohol so there is that.…

Thank you for coming out to visit us and taking the time to share your experience. We are dedicated to providing fresh local produce to our community and bringing the best handcrafters and artisans to The Shed. While this is a change from the wholesale produce once found at the market, we feel it is a change in the right direction and we stand by our local farmers and ranchers. I hope you come again and try some of the fresh, delicious produce and meats our Texas farmers and ranchers bring to The Shed!
