The Texas Museum of Automotive History, located in Fair Park, Dallas, TX,...

The Texas Museum of Automotive History, located in Fair Park, Dallas, TX, successfully opened on November 20th, 2010. Since then, we have accumulated and created displays for over one hundred cars valued at $30+ million.

We are working with the City of Dallas, Dallas Parks and Recreation Department and the Friends of Fair Park as part of our goal to build a world-class museum of automotive history in Fair Park and to become recognized as one of the top ten automotive museums in the world, thereby enriching the State of Texas, the City of Dallas, its citizens and its visitors.Additionally, we are finalizing our program to teach life and work skills to over 400 at risk men and women, aged 15-18, through a museum based "Restoration Factory", which is designed to educate visitors about the automobile manufacture and restoration process. The "Restoration Factory" will employ underprivileged youth and will function to educate and provide a career path for selected individuals.

We were making plans to visit the nuseum during our visit to dallas but as we researched, it appears the museum closed in 2012. There is not a website, the phone number goes to a personal phone, and a newspaper article indicates that it was planning to close its doors July, 2012

This museum is well worth the trip if you love classic cars. Had some one of a kind cars as well. We enjoyed seeing the progression of cars from the early 1900s to today.
