A resurgent area a few miles from downtown. Cutesy shops and restaurants. It is really only a few blocks long. Also, most of the shops don't open until around 11 AM, but many stay open late at night

Lots of good restaurants, and a romantic place to walk around after Dinner, poking into local shops, of all types. A fun place to meet friends for Sunday Brunch or midweek Dinner.

This area has been undergoing rejuvenation for several years and has become a great area for walking around to explore interesting shops and goods bars and restaurants. It is a refreshing change from your standard Dallas vibe.

Shopping, foodie food, desserts that you crave, local art shoes or artists... We love Bishop. We can be there in 20 minutes from our house. And it's a great experience every time.

If you have some free time you can make an afternoon out of this area. Coffee shops, restaurants, art galleries, and shops. Outdoor areas to have a drink or snacks and unusual gift shops to peruse. Quiet easy atmosphere.

Great restaurants and wonderful local shops. True local feel and not the same old shops at the mall. Great art gallery’s, the best local food in town. Not for everyone. Hipster, Melinials Guppies and Uppies. Please don’t go if you judge others for the way...More

Bishop Arts used to be funky, original, charming, and interesting. It still is - for awhile yet. It has caught on, so the always-scant parking is worse. More dismaying, you can’t swing a cat without hitting a new apartment building construction. Really, you can often...More

I'm sure you're kind of getting the idea, but the whole point of the district is that they're small, independent operators and there's quite a bit of variation. Information was easy to come by, and I'm not especially tech... More

Previous answers are excellent, Downtown is closest, but not walking, if they would finish trolley would add charm and option. Belmont Hotel in Oak Cliff, is an option but I think is really Pricy. Enjoy
