I try to visit this area everytime I'm in Dallas, and usually make my way to the area when I'm on my way heading back south to San Antonio. The District has a great eclectic collection of shops and restaurants. Dude Sweet Chocolate, and Enzo's...More

We had a lovely time walking through the neighborhood. There are a ton of cute shops with unique items and souvenirs. There is also an array of places to get a meal or a snack.

I've been down to the Bishop Arts several times - at different times of the years. I say not for everyone because the Bishop Arts District is a very eclectic neighborhood, not your typical strip mall or mall type shopping. The minuses first --- HORRIBLE...More

I enjoyed my trips to the Bishop Arts District in GOOD weather, but not when it was raining, super hot, or cold. It was super unpleasant to be there with inclement weather. That being said, when the weather is just right, you cannot go wrong...More

Very unique area of South Dallas. Lots of art galleries and restaurants. Clothing stores and furniture stores are worth visiting as well.

What a great way to experience the Bishop Arts District when it full of food/drink booths and lots of people. One needs to plan ahead to get the souvenir wine glass and drink tickets. This event is popular so be patient as you will probably...More

If you have a few hours to spare, I suggest a visit to the Bishop Arts District. Instead of driving, consider taking the Dart and the Bishop Arts Streetcar. Why this mode of transportation? It is fun, adventurous and you can avoid traffic and parking...More

Previous answers are excellent, Downtown is closest, but not walking, if they would finish trolley would add charm and option. Belmont Hotel in Oak Cliff, is an option but I think is really Pricy. Enjoy
