The Crow is a small museum with a wonderful collection of Jade and Lacquer. On the lower level the exhibitions change regularly as do those on the mezzanine. There are a mixture of modern works and objects from the extensive collection. Some of the jade...More

This ones a private museum app Nasher Sculpture Center. Small museum with focus on Asian Art. When I went 3 months ago, most of the museum was closed for renovation. So we were restricted to the 1st floor only. Not much to see except some...More

Another free museum in downtown Dallas. It has some beautiful Chinese chests, jade carvings, and other artwork. I was hoping for Japanese artwork but did not find any. The area has construction work in progress so it is a little difficult to walk around especially...More

This museum was essentially built to house the collection of Trammel Crow, a real estate developer who put part of his fairly substantial wealth into very large collection of very high quality Asian art. One of the few museums in Dallas where they don't charge...More

Off the beaten path but right between DMA and Nasher Sculpture garden. I wandered in at lunch while working downtown and just had to go back for a longer look. A small intimate collection but some of the most beautiful intricate pieces of sculpture and...More

There are plenty of beautiful things to see here, the walkway with the peace cranes is one of my favorites. I wouldn't bring smaller children here unless it's a short visit or they have a special event going on because there's not much they can...More

So, I must have picked a bad time to visit, in view of the generally great reviews. Nothing at all on 2nd floor. One floor sculpture in 3rd floor (see photo). Modest display on first floor. Quite disappointing. Beautiful building. Free entry, but my donation,...More

Really not expecting much here, but rather like the other art venues nearby this gallery is stunning. The collections which we viewed were fabulous, and particularly appropriate as we had just had Diwali.

If you are in the Art District, stop by this little museum. While it is not large, it has a lovely and impressive collection. It's in the middle of the Art District and has a nice little gift store.

It is worth a quick visit. Currently only two small rooms open but the displays are interesting (Korean pottery and Japanese samurai print screen and suit of armor). I'd schedule no more than 1/2 hour, maybe at 1030 then... More
