On a road trip, we spent time in Dallas and were pleased to attend Mass at The Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe. I love to be able to go to Mass at different churches while traveling and just be in awe of the unique beauty in each different place along the way. I try to choose Cathedrals as... More

We photographed it at night and during the day, this cathedral is adjacent to the Dallas Arts district and just south of Kyle Warren Park and can make a beautiful addition/contrast to the Dallas skyline.

We attended the installation of the new Bishop of the Dioceses of Dallas. At times the church was full with song and prayer. It was a moving and faith-filled experience. This is a special find for those with a special devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe. The cathedral is a magnificent, yet restrained combination of late gothic and high baroque architecture.

Visited on a weekday and used free public transit. The inside and the outside is a tribute to the devout who built it and still maintain it. Well worth a visit for a quiet reflection.

We attended a Spanish Sunday mass. It was a great cultural experience for all of us (me, wife and 11&13 yo daughters).
