There were two Pegasus signs. One new and bright on a building roof. The other an original neon sign sitting like a flag post in Downtown Dallas. It was old. The light blue faded. The neon red wasn’t lit. No Unicorn in cotton candy clouds or raining of Skittles or anything. I was excited to go there. That fizzled real quick. But I wasn’t impressed after seeing it. I ended up saying, “Meh”.

It’s cool lit up. We drove by it, wasn’t worth stopping and paying parking to see it. However if your already walking by it’s worth the photo op.

Right on the corner of the OMNI Dallas hotel at 555 S Lamar. They always have holiday or seasonal displays adjacent to it. As mentioned by another viewer it is a great photo opportunity. Well worth looking at.

The Pegasus sign was built in 1934 and sat on top of Magnolia Building(now the Magnolia hotel) for the Magnolia Oil Company. Sitting at 450 feet, it was said it could be seen by pilots as far away as Waco. The refurbished original now sits in front of the Dallas Omni hotel, but how fitting it is that another Pegasus sign now sits back atop of the Magnolia hotel. A great piece of American history.

So we saw the one on top of the building from our hotel but read there was one on ground level so was excited when we found this. Even went back at night to pic of it lit up.

Cool item to check out and surely take a photo. It is not really out of the way and it is really fun to see in real life. Worth it.
