Interesting history.

Knowledgable and interested tour guide; not just a paid position. Well kept. Nicely preserved for such a small part of American history.

A very interesting place to visit. I had no idea how informative it would be on such a great President. The video was very good too. The grounds are well kept and so pretty.

My family and i went there yesterday. The museum is free. the birthplace tour is 4 dollars for adults and 3 dollars for kids. Besides a good story of the birth events for Eisenhower, he tells a good story of what life and houses were like in the 1890's.

Best $4 tour & guide ever !. Maxine will take you back in time starting on the front porch & for the next 25-30 mins. will bring to life the history of this historic sight. We learned so much about President Eisenhower's parents & brothers along with Dwight himself. We couldn't get over the hardships of this very poor family... More

Friends recommended we stop in. It was worth it. Small but well done free presentation of Eisenhower's early years & life. Video is short but interesting. House and grounds are well kept. Charge for house tour. Worth the stop.

Our tour guide, Maxine was wealth of knowledge and such a delight. Suggest you pay the small price of the tour of the house. Furniture is from that period but not original as Eisenhower was a young child when we left this area. The video they show in the museum is well worth the watch, and enjoyed the small museum.

We have wanted to see this historical park for several years and were pleasantly surprised. The guided tour was excellent and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about General Eisenhower's rough early years and the difficult times that his family endured.

Truly a great experience right in our back yard. It was humbling to watch the video and explore the area around the historic home and feel like you were transported back a few decades. If you ever want to get out of DFW and explore true American history, this is a great place to start.

My husband and I visited the Eisenhower birthplace this morning. The grounds were very manicured and pretty. The bronze statue was gorgeous and was molded in France. Our guide was Marion. She was very polite and knowledgeable about David & Ida's life in Texas. The home is decorated with 1890's era furniture & Marion was clear that the Einsenhowers did... More

One has to give kudos to the Texas State Historical Society! Who knew before stopping in Denison, TX, and stumbling on to a sign that former President Eisenhower was born in Denison. His family rented this "railroad" house, didn't own even the furniture in it, and moved when Ike was four months old! There is another little old house which... More
